Who we are
Beelna is a consultancy from Zagreb, founded in 2016. We are about ten people: employees, long-term external collaborators and students, led by two founders with more than twenty years of experience each in IT and financial services. We build AI and cloud systems, deliver software and step in as CTO, COO or CEO for SaaS and IT companies, financial institutions and the public sector in Croatia and across South-East Europe. Since 2026 we are part of the Claude Partner Network, with access to the latest models and AI tools, and we build with Claude the way we would for a client, this website included.
How we work

A senior lead on every engagement
Someone with twenty years of experience leads every engagement and stays on it. Junior members join under that lead, never instead of it.

Small steps with an off-ramp
We start with the smallest useful step, an AI pilot measured in days or a clearly defined monthly role, and you can stop after every phase.

Results you can count
Every engagement has a defined result, and where it can be counted we count it: team size, revenue, months to market, migrations completed.

Co-founder, senior consultant
CTO, COO and VP Operations of a SaaS scale-up since 2018, through its acquisition by a US SaaS company; before that head of software development at an IT company and head of an internal start-up. Computer engineering at FER Zagreb, MBA at Heriot-Watt University, PMP, fellow of the Digital Euro Association.

Co-founder, director
More than 25 years in project management, business analysis, IT and service management: eleven years at Privredna banka Zagreb as chief system analyst and then business line manager in the demand management office, before that project manager and software engineer at an IT company. Telecommunications and IT engineering at FER Zagreb, PBZ business school, PMP, Oracle Certified Professional; runs Beelna as its director.

Our people bring twenty years of implementation projects for the financial industry across South-East Europe: brokerage, investment and pension fund management, custody and depositary banking, euro migration projects and a fund-management software migration, delivered on time and within budget with long-term client relationships. They also bring fifteen years of COO and CTO roles in IT and financial companies: restructuring, M&A projects, spin-offs, and divisions of 150+ employees turned from loss to profit, with new business areas and markets opened.
